 Who Am I?

1 year ago, I never thought I’d run an 80km ultra. Here I am at the finish line, proof that anything is possible with the right knowledge, mindset and training.

Hey, I’m Quentin van Bentum, a 24 year old runner from the Netherlands, this is my story.

Just about 1.5 years ago, I started my running journey. When I was training for my first marathon in April 2024, during my training I made so many mistakes—pushing too hard, not listening to my body, and ultimately getting injured. That experience was frustrating, but it also made me realize how clueless I was at this time. During this period I got hooked on running and didn’t want to just “wing it” anymore—I wanted to understand how to train the right way.

So, I decided to learn as much about running as I possibly can. I spent countless hours researching, learning, and experimenting with every aspect of running— training plans, nutrition, injury prevention, mindset, and recovery. And once I started applying what I learned, I immediatly started noticing the changes. 

Since that first marathon, I’ve gone on to run another marathon and two ultra marathons—one 58Km and one 80Km race without getting injured once! As of now I have many big races planned ahead where my goal is to keep pushing my limits!

As a 24-year-old runner, I know exactly what it feels like to start from scratch, to doubt yourself, and to struggle with the ups and downs of training. But I also know the incredible feeling of pushing through, improving, and achieving things you never thought possible. That’s why I started coaching—to help other runners avoid the same mistakes I and many others made and reach their goals faster, safer, and with more confidence.
