SoSo’s Run Club started with two friends going for runs together and accidentally turned into a weekly meetup of more than 100 runners and walkers. Founded by Sophie and Sofie in early 2023, the club meets every Saturday at Waterfront Park in Newstead, with the run starting at 6:15 am. The focus is simple. Move your body, meet new people and hang out over coffee afterwards. Whether you want to run, walk or just ease your way into the running world, this is a very welcoming, low pressure community that keeps things light and social.

Mad Rabbit Crew is a Melbourne community that mixes proper training structure with a really easygoing social feel. They have more than 500 members around Australia and a huge group of runners showing up each week for quality sessions, city runs, parkrun, long runs and the classic Friday morning routine at Elgar Park. They welcome every pace and background and they have accredited coaches guiding the crew, plus big numbers heading into events like Melbourne Marathon each year.
Their weekly rhythm is solid. Wednesday mornings are at Doncaster Track for quality work. Thursday nights roll through the CBD for a relaxed social run along the Yarra. Fridays are the 7 AM’ers at Elgar Park followed by coffee. Saturdays are for parkrun at Gardiners Creek. Sundays are dedicated to long runs with clear pace groups and post run brunch.
