Isartrail Runners is a free, coach-led trail group in Munich that meets every other Wednesday for relaxed, social runs along the Isar trails.

Isartrail Runners is an open community trail group supported by LOWA, offering friendly, structured runs along Munich’s riverside trails. Anyone with basic endurance can join, and there’s no sign-up needed.
They meet every second Wednesday at the Naturefriends House near Thalkirchen, with seasonal start times. From September to December 2025, sessions run either at 19:00 or 18:30, plus one Saturday outing to Tegernsee. Each run covers about 10–12 km at a manageable pace, and the group sometimes splits into two pace groups.
Professional trail runner Sandra Saitner leads the sessions, adding mobility work, technique drills and practical coaching tips. The focus is on enjoying the trails, improving skills and ending the day with a positive, active break.
With scenic routes, a supportive coach and a welcoming atmosphere, Isartrail Runners is a great way to connect with Munich’s trail community.
